Ghosts and goblins of all ages are invited to prowl the Edison State College Hendry/Glades Center’s Haunted Campus from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, 5-8 p.m. The Hendry/Glades Center is located at 1092 E Cowboy Way, LaBelle. The event is free and open to the public.
Enjoy treats like Halloween themed games and candy, but beware of the tricks that lurk around every corner for those brave enough to take a walk down the Haunted Hallway. Costumes are permitted, though they should not be too frightening or revealing. Event sponsors are also needed and will have their business names and logos on display. For more information or to become a Haunted Campus sponsor, call Jaimee Howard, Hendry/Glades Center Student Life Coordinator, at 863-674-0408. The Library at the Lee Campus has two excellent events going on this week. Each of the following events are free and open for anyone to attend.
The Hendry/Glades Center Library would like to congratulate the winners of the Banned Books Week Trivia Challenge!
Anliu Gomez, Alejandra Cruz and Maria Garcia will each receive an ALA tote bag filled with Banned Books. A big thanks to all who celebrated our freedom to read during Banned Books Week by participating in the Trivia Challenge and the screening of The Great Gatsby. We hope to see you at next year’s events! |
